Every Child Deserves To Play

I was honored to be at Bluff Ridge Elementary and to have played a small part, alongside other members of the Utah State Board of Education, in helping secure research funding for this new all-abilities playground.

I have often said that the largest classroom at an elementary school is the playground. It’s where kids learn to make friends, work together, encourage one another, and build meaningful connections.

My hope is that this playground becomes much more than new equipment. I hope it creates more opportunities for children of all abilities to play together, form friendships, and connect—and that what happens on the playground carries back into the classroom.

I am excited to see the impact this will have on these students for years to come. Congratulations to Bluff Ridge Elementary and thank you to everyone who helped make this vision a reality!
